Our Vision

We envision a South Africa where nature and people coexist in harmony. A land where majestic animals are safe for future generations, and where local communities have the chance to thrive. By collaborating with businesses and individuals worldwide, we aim to create lasting impact for both nature and the people who depend on it.

History and Background
Our love for Africa and its wildlife first brought us to South Africa more than 25 years ago. This same love opened our eyes to harsh realities: shrinking habitats, increasing human-wildlife conflicts, and the escalating threat of poaching.
In 2019, a ranger asked us a simple yet profound question: why is it that nearly 1 billion euros can be raised within a week to restore a burned cathedral (the Notre Dame) in Paris, yet raising even 100,000 euros to save rhinos—a species that has roamed our planet for 60 million years—remains an uphill battle?
This realization motivated us to take action. After years of launching various projects and initiatives, we became, in 2024, an official member of the advisory board of the Waterberg Landscape Alliance, a UNESCO biosphere reserve and World Heritage Site in Limpopo. Here, we learned that conserving nature cannot be separated from managing landscapes, fostering economic growth, and empowering local communities.
However, funding remains a significant challenge. Current projects rely heavily on donations, but for truly sustainable outcomes, a different approach is necessary. This is why we founded Ubuntu Alliance: a for-profit organization that integrates ecological and economic development. We firmly believe that building a healthy business provides the continuity needed to support conservation and community development.
With Ubuntu Alliance, we aim for a future where local communities thrive and endangered species are safeguarded. Our profits are directly reinvested into protecting the unique biodiversity of the Waterberg region and improving the well-being of its people. Together, we are building a sustainable Africa—both for today and for generations to come.
